Battery Engineer.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    • Design and develop battery systems (CAD), including cell selection, module architecture, and thermal management.

    • Conduct battery performance testing and analysis.

    • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in battery technology and industry trends.

    • Analyze and troubleshoot battery performance issues in the field.

    • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations.

    • Support the development of manufacturing processes for battery modules.

    • Ensure compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations and type approval certification.

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred.

    • Proven experience in BMS design, development, and testing, with a demonstrated ability to lead technical projects.

    • Deep understanding of battery cell chemistries, battery management system architectures, and control algorithms.

    • Strong programming skills in C/C++ or other embedded systems languages.

    • Experience with communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Modbus) and embedded systems hardware.

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and innovative environment.

    • Familiarity with marine vessel design and operation.

    • Knowledge of marine type approval and certification processes (DNV, LR, ABS).

You will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and design to testing, validation, and manufacturing. In addition, as a startup, every member of the team is extremely valuable and expected to contribute where possible to all other fields of the business, including sales, marketing, HR, finance, etc. As such, no two days are likely to be the same!
